Military insurance (MV)

Military insurance provides comprehensive risk cover for all injury to health of people who provide security or peace services on behalf of the state. The insurance covers military and civilian service as well as civil defence services, work for the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit, peacekeeping work and diplomatic/humanitarian services for the state.

Military insurance covers the costs of treatment in the event of illness and accidents as well as rehabilitation measures, pays daily allowances and pensions in the event of loss of work or income and covers the risks of invalidity and death. These benefits are financed through resources from the federal budget; there are no obligatory contributions.
